Proven Darkroom Technique
Old-time photographers faced the same problem in the darkroom, with expensive silver based paper and chemicals. So, they devised a system of incremental proofs called test strips and ring-arounds.

Now, you can take advantage of the same darkroom techniques on your photo printer. Test Strip Proofer is a Photoshop Automation Plug-in that automatically makes calibration proofs for any size printer, and with your choice of color variation and amount. It even fixes your original!

Test Strip Proofer Pro offers horizontal and vertical sizes from 4"x5" up to 36"x45", plus it has a selection of wide proofs, ranging from 16" wide to 43" wide to help save on the consumption of rolled paper, canvass, and other expensive media.

Wide-format printers, sign makers, and service bureaus receive artwork from many different customers, who use a variety of software. We all know what trouble that can cause. Test Strip Proofer is designed to streamline the process and eliminate costly re-runs due to individual color perception.

Now, you can provide your customers with custom approval prints to insure quality reproduction and hassle-free turn-around. Just make a calibration proof, let your customer select the best color variation, and have them sign-off with their approval. Then use TS Proofer to correct the image, and you are ready to go.

4x5 Aspect Ratio
Test Strip Proofer makes all proofs to a 4x5 format. If your image is taller or wider than this, it will be cropped to fit. If your image is shorter or narrower than the 4x5 format, then more white space will be added between the images.
If you don’t want your image cropped, use Photoshop’s Image > Canvass Size menu to alter the dimensions of your image to the 4x5 aspect ratio before using TS Proofer.
